Callaway Putters

Callaway now have a great range of putters, they own the Odyssey range of putters and the latest addition to their range is the Flip Face, amazing to think you can have two putters in one! Here are some of the latest addition to the Odyssey range of putters for 2013.

Callaway Odyssey Versa

Callaway have bought out the Versa and the black and white on Versa putter heads constitute what Odyssey called "High Contrast Alignment." The point is to "accentuate the face angle." these straight-line bands of black and white should help you with alignment and getting the ball into the hole. This helps square the putter at address and at impact. If the putter face is misaligned ever so slightly open or closed, the black/white bands make that clearer and easier to see, easier to correct.

In addition to blade styles in the Versa line, there are also 2-Ball and other progressive-style options for head shape. Several of the putters come in black-white-black or white-black-white options for the HCA bands; the 2-Ball comes in white-black-white only, and some models use a front-to-back visual rather than the lateral visual pictured above. All models come in length options of 33, 34 or 35 inches (plus custom options).
This is an improved White Hot insert - more consistent sound and feel - also debuts in the Versa line. The clubheads weigh 343 grams (with the exception of the 2-Ball, which is 355 grams).

Flip Face #5
Odyssey Flip Face Putters
New Flip Face Putters are an adjustable masterpiece unlike anything else in golf. Golfers now have the ability to own two putters in one, with one side of the face featuring the new Metal-X Insert and the other side featuring the White Ice Insert. The Metal-X and White Ice Insert – offers golfers a considerable advantage to dial in their game with a simple adjustment made before the round begins.

There are 3 styles of Flip Face Putters,  featuring a satin chrome finish for a clean, premium look, the Flip Face Putter will be available in three popular Odyssey models: the #1, a rounded heel-toe weighted blade putter with a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset; the #5, a rounded mallet putter with a single bend shaft and full-shaft offset; and the #9, a toe-weighted, heel-shafted, flanged blade putter with a long hosel and half-shaft offset.
Pro Type Tour Series
Odyssey, a division of Callaway, introduced six putter models in the ProType Tour Series to retail outlets on Feb. 17.2012 The ProType putters offer good looks and good feel, Callaway says, in "tour-proven" clubhead designs. The heads, in other words, are familiar shapes on the pro tours.
Odyssey ProType Tour Series of putters, the #3 (left) and #7.

The Odyssey ProType putters are made from 1025 carbon steel with a deeper, more-sharply milled pattern on the clubfaces to increase interaction with the ball. The putters have thinner toplines and thicker faces; all told, a cleaner look Odyssey believes is preferred by better golfers.
Weight ports in the soles of the putters are matched up to shaft length to optimize feel and control, Odyssey says.
The putters have a high-polish steel finish, and appearances can be customized through six different colors for the grip and fill-in paint.

Five of the Odyssey ProType Tour Series putters are numbered (#2, #3, #6, #7 and #9) and come in weights of 340 or 350 grams; three of them are heel-toe blade styles and the other two are half-mallets. The sixth putter is a 2-Ball model that comes in weights of 350 or 360 grams.

Callaway Protype Tour Sereis 3
The most popular putter is the Callaway Protype Tour Series 3, The Odyssey design team has taken feedback from many Tour Pros and developed putters that enhance feel, create ideal balance to promote a smooth stroke and offer a great look and performance. With a fine tuned design, Tour headshapes and a custom color program, the ProType Tour Series line lets you feel like a pro.

Subtle tweaks to the design of the Callaway Protype Tour Series 3 allow us to optimize the putter head with the shaft length using slightly heavier heads for shorter models of putters. Headweight Optimization also helps to optimize feel, control and accuracy.

Metal X Putters
The Odyssey Metal-X putters have metal face inserts, but over a urethane backing layer. Odyssey touts the result as crisp but softer than a fully metallic putter face.
The metal face insert (which is aluminum) is textured in a manner that Odyssey says creates greater friction between putter face and ball, which should help increase topspine and reduce skidding. The urethane layer also saves precious grams of weight, which helps in optimizing the weighting properties of the entire clubhead.
The Metal-X putters' midnight black finish helps reduce glare. The core models are labeled 1, 6, 7, 8, 9 and Rossie,
